If you wish to stay in the Tuscan landscape illustrated by postcards, with the gentle hills dotted with few cypress trees, you should come to visit the “Val d’Orcia”. Situated south of Siena, at the southern end of Tuscany, the rural area of “Val d’Orcia” offers to its guests the possibility to live in an untouched nature while being close to historical towns, such as Montalcino, Pienza, and Montepulciano. During the summer period, looking for some refreshment, one can reach the park of the “Amiata” with its nice villages. Driving the opposite way, one can easily reach the Umbria region and the Trasimeno Lake, where there are beaches and other leisure possibilities. In Autumn, you can visit the different spa towns, such as San Casciano Bagni or Bagno Vignoni with their swimming pools of hot sulphurous water, for a pleasant and healthy swim.
