One of the most beautiful places on the way between Siena and Grosseto is Batignano. It is a typical of Tuscan village, it is located on a hill and it is visible from far. Its a good starting point for visiting Tuscany, because it is only 5 km far from the highway. Grosseto is only 9 km, the sea is 20 km.
Batignano was autonomous till 1783. There was a castle, there where walls around the entire city and two towers, one of which still exists.
In 1999 this tower was changed into a holiday house.
By external stairs you arrive at first to a panoramic terrace with a delightful view, in part on the landscape and in part on the medieval place. Here there is garden furniture so you can enjoy the enchanting view. From here you go in a wide and comfortable hall. There is a round fireplace and everything is restructured in an original way. There is a sofa-bed (1.20 m) for another person or for two children.
From the living room, on the left side, you arrive into a small bathroom with a shower. From the right side you go, through stairs, into the bedroom with a double bed and another bed (single).
In the Torretta you will discover the original wooden ceiling and the original stoned pavements.

Prices are in Euro. The apartments are rented from Saturday to Saturday.
Rate does not include final cleaning, electricity.
You can order bed linen (5 by person), or bed linen and towels (8 by person).
When you book, you pay 30%, the balance has to be paid at your arrival.
